Vendors who previously sold on the roadside of the Jerudong beach area are now located in a more comfortable business site. People who wish to get daily necessities at reasonable prices can visit the Multipurpose Market at the Jerudong Beach Car Park near Neptune Restaurant. 52 sales booths are provided for traders to do business in the area. The Kampung Jerudong Consultative Council held an Opening Ceremony for the Multipurpose Market, 18th February morning.
The launching was officiated by Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubaarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim, Acting Brunei Muara District. The market is divided into several zones, namely Zone A for vegetables and fruits, Zone B for pastries and drinks, Zone C for smoked meats and "live cooking" and Zone D, for plants. The market is open to the public every day from 6 in the morning until 6 in the afternoon. Meanwhile, Zone E for pets is open on Fridays and Sundays only. Also present was Yang Berhormat Awang Zainol bin Haji Mohamed, Member of the Legislative Council.
