The practise of reciting selawat towards Rasulullah Shallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam is a great practice with many virtues and advantages. The numerous benefits include Allah's tenfold blessings and being closest to Prophet Muhammad on the Day of Resurrection.
This was among the matters highlighted during a talk titled, 'The Benefits of Reciting Selawat' during the 195th Munajat Night organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Also participating in the event were members of the Tutong District New Converts Association, PESATU; takmir committee and congregants of Kampung Penabai Mosque, Kuala Tutong; and Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque, Kampung Sungai Kebun as well as several mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide.
