For a young and skilled musician, age is not an obstacle when it comes to mastering traditional Middle Eastern instruments.
The Darbouka is a hand drum primarily used in Middle Eastern. Its beautiful melody has attracted the interest of Awangku Rayyan Khan bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Hamid to study it more deeply. Awangku Rayyan started out with the hadrah before switching to Darbouka. Having a passion for musical instruments and receiving continuous training from social media, Awangku Rayyan is now becoming more proficient at playing them.
Family support keeps him motivated to keep learning the Darbouka. There is no doubt that this young student's determination to learn Darbouka will contribute greatly to the art industry in the country.
