Muslimah from 11 mosques gathered at Pehin Khatib Abdullah (PeKA) Mosque, Kampong Kulapis yesterday for a special Dikir ceremony held in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam 1448 Hijrah celebrations.
The gathering began with a mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, led by Hajah Noryanti binti Haji Hussin, followed by welcoming remarks from Head of the PeKA Mosque Muslimah group Hajah Norainah binti Haji Kahar.
It continued with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Selawat Tafrijiyyah, before the Dikir ceremony commenced with a poetry recital by Hajah Nadirah binti Haji Lahit.
The gathering featured performances by Muslimah groups from 11 participating mosques, including the host mosque.
Among those taking part were Muslimah groups from Az-Zakireen and RPN Kampong Meragang Mosques, who presented Dikir Selawat Adnani; Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, Kampong Kiarong with Bisyahrin; Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque and Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Mosques with Dibaie; and Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque, Kampong Bebatik Kilanas, with Nasyid Rintihan Rindu.
Also participating were Muslimah groups from Ar-Rahman Mosque, Kampong Tanjung Bunut, with Tausyeh Dibaie Kisah Seorang Rasul; Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Mateen Mosque, Kampong Mulaut, with Selawat Nabi; Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Mosque, Kampong Rimba, with Khairuman; Kampong Bengkurong Mosque with Salawat Busyro and Tanaman-Tanaman Syurga; and Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque, Kampong Manggis/Madang, with Rindu Madinah.
The host Muslimah group from PeKA Mosque presented Dikir Assamualaika and Dikir Asyraqal.
The ceremony concluded with the recitation of the Doa Dikir, followed by Doa Selamat and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam led by Muslimah Affairs teacher and supervisor at PeKA Mosque Hajah Jamaliah binti Haji Jumaat.
Datin Hajah Nahriah binti Awang Haji Hasbi was the guest of honour.
