In conjunction with the 33rd Civil Service Day, the Prime Minister’s Office organised a Kesyukuran Ceremony comprising a mass Asar prayer, the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Doa Khas, held simultaneously at main mosques nationwide yesterday.
In the Brunei-Muara District, the ceremony was held at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, in the presence of Coordinating Minister for National Security, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, in his capacity as Co-Adviser of the High-Level Committee for the 33rd Civil Service Day Celebration 2026.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office (Civil Service Governance) Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Awang Haji Mohamad and Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office (Energy, Upstream and Downstream) Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, in their capacity as Co-Chairs of the High-Level Committee for the 33rd Civil Service Day Celebration were also present. In the Belait District, Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan attended the event at Muhammad Jamalul Alam Mosque, Kuala Belait.
Meanwhile, in Tutong District, the focal point was at Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque, attended by Minister of Finance II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah and Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid.
Coordinating Minister for Social Policies and Manpower and Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman and Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha attended the ceremony at Utama Muhammad Salleh Mosque in the Temburong District.
Permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, heads of departments, senior officials and civil servants from government agencies were present.
The 33rd Civil Service Day Celebration is scheduled to be held on 18th Jamadilawal 1448 Hijrah, corresponding to October 29, 2026, at the Plenary Hall of the International Convention Centre in Berakas.
