The ASEAN Directors-General of Immigration Departments and Heads of Consular Affairs Divisions of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs Meeting, DGICM ASEAN, is an important platform to strengthen cooperation and dialogue among ASEAN Member Countries on immigration and consular affairs. The matter was underscored by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs at the Opening Ceremony of the 28th ASEAN DGICM and related Meetings. It took place at a hotel in Gadong, 13th August morning.
More than 120 people attended the meeting comprising Immigration Directors-General and delegations from ASEAN countries, including Timor-Leste as an observer country, as well as representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat.
