To promote and introduce the role of the Brunei History Centre Library, the Library and Learning Division organised a Mini Library Carnival: Library Symposium and Exhibition. The Opening Ceremony of the Mini Carnival was held this morning.
The event was officiated by Doctor Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. In his keynote speech, Doctor Awang Haji Muhammad Hadi bin Muhammad Melayong, Head of the Brunei History Centre, emphasised the importance of preserving historical heritage to ensure the continuity of national identity. The event is open for three days, and aims to elevate the role of libraries as centres for research, national heritage repositories, and sources of knowledge that remain relevant.
