The Department of Immigration and National Registration reminds the public that working using a visit pass without valid permission is an offence under the Immigration Regulations, Chapter 17. The reminder was issued following the Operasi Panyap carried out recently targeting three locations in the Brunei Muara District.
During the operation conducted on a restaurant in Mukim Gadong B, two foreigners were arrested for working using a Visit Pass.
While in the operation on the parking area in Mukim Gadong 'B' also saw the arrest of two foreigners who were working using Visit Passes.
7 foreigners were detained in the operation on a rental house in Mukim Berakas B. Six of them were found to be working using visit passes while another was believed to be working with a different employer.
