Efforts to instil values of compassion, care and Islamic brotherhood were strengthened through a community outreach programme organised by Lambak Jalan Bedil Religious School in collaboration with the Dakwah Development Division and Belait District Dakwah Branch of the Islamic Da’wah Centre, Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Some 20 teachers and 20 students from the school participated in the Mahabbah Visit programme at the Kampong Merangking Prayer Hall in Belait District on Sunday.
The programme began with the recitation of Doa Selamat, followed by a welcoming address by Principal of Lambak Jalan Bedil Religious School Hajah Kamariana binti Haji Md Noor.
Activities included a practical prayer clinic, a gotong-royong session to clean the prayer hall alongside the convert community, a sharing session on traditional cooking by converts from Kampong Merangking, and a quiz on basic Islamic rulings.
The programme aimed to expose school staff and students to dakwah efforts, as well as the lives and challenges faced by new Muslims.
It also served as a platform to strengthen ties, foster a sense of togetherness and deepen participants’ appreciation of Islamic values. – Lyna Mohamad
