A 25-member dikir group from the Brunei Malay Teachers Association (PGGMB) performed a series of dikir recitations at As-Salam Mosque in Kampong Junjungan on August 23 in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul celebration.
The delegation was led by PGGMB President Haji Mustapa bin Haji Masri and comprised members of the association’s senior committee and Management Committee, PGGMB school teachers, members of its Religious Affairs Committee and other association members.
The group was welcomed by the mosque’s Imam Haji Sh’minan bin Haji Sulaiman, Kampong Junjungan Village Head Haji Bustamam bin Haji Tamin and members of the mosque’s Takmir Committee.
During the religious gathering, the group performed several dikir recitations, including Assalam, Badat, Khairuman and Bissaharin.
The association also presented a wakaf contribution to the mosque.
The programme is part of PGGMB’s continuing efforts to uphold Islamic traditions and religious practices, particularly in commemorating the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). – Daniel Lim
