The Australian High Commission in Brunei Darussalam, presented photographs from the 1945 Operation Oboe Allied Military Campaign to the Brunei Darussalam National Archives. The ceremony took place at Brunei Energy Hub Dermaga Diraja, Bandar Seri Begawan, 11th November morning.
Present was Doctor Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The photo collection was handed over by His Excellency Michael Hoy, High Commissioner of Australia to Brunei Darussalam, to Pengiran Haji Rosli bin Pengiran Haji Halus, Acting Director of Museums. The gifting of this collection enriches the nation's archival holdings and documentary heritage, while also supporting research, education, and the promotion of historical awareness for future generations.
