Police have launched an investigation into the deaths of two men following an altercation in Kampong Limau Manis on Thursday.
The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) said the Limau Manis Police Station initially responded to a report of a disturbance in front of a residence in the area.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two men who were pronounced dead at the scene. Initial investigations indicate their deaths were caused by a fight that broke out between them.
Police seized several items from the scene, including weapons believed to have been used in the incident, to assist in the investigation.
The bodies were transferred to the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations to establish the exact cause of death.
Addressing photos and videos circulating on social media, the RBPF reminded the public to refrain from sharing media related to the incident out of respect for the victims’ families. The public is also advised against spreading speculation that could compromise the ongoing investigation.
Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact the police emergency hotline at 993 or report to the nearest police station.
