Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Secondary School (SM RIPAS) held a Sunnat Hajat Prayer and Surah Yaasiin recitation ceremony for Year 8 and Year 11 students preparing to sit for the upcoming SPE and BC GCE ‘O’ Level and IGCSE examinations 1448 Hijrah/2026.
The ceremony took place at Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Wakeel Mosque in Kampong Kiudang, Tutong, commencing with a mass Maghrib prayer led by Kampong Kiudang Mosque Imam Abdul Raqib bin Haji Awang.
The programme proceeded with the Sunnat Hajat prayer, the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, and additional Hajat prayers, before concluding with a mass Isyak prayer.
The gathering served to seek divine blessings and ease for the candidates ahead of their major assessments, while highlighting the collaborative commitment between the school, teaching faculty, Parents and Teachers Association (PIBG) and families in delivering comprehensive encouragement to the students throughout their examination preparations.
School leaders, educators, PIBG members as well as parents and guardians were also in attendance. Meanwhile, Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College held a special prayer ceremony at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah on Thursday, for its Lower and Upper Sixth students who will be sitting for the upcoming AS and ‘A’ Level October/November examinations.
The event was attended by approximately 250 students, accompanied by their parents and guardians.
Principal Dayangku Hajah Nooramaliatifah binti Pengiran Haji Ahmad, alongside members of the Parent-Teacher Association, teachers, and staff, joined the congregation to pray for the students’ success.
The function commenced with a mass Maghrib prayer, followed by the Sunnat Hajat prayer and the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, led by Mosque Affairs Officer Abdul Aziz bin Haji Abdullah of Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah.
The special prayer was read by Department of Islamic Studies Usuluddin Lecturer Haji Mohammad Shafiee bin Haji Japar from the college.
The ceremony concluded with a mass Isyak prayer.
