Preparing young minds for examination success

With the examination season set to begin this October, schools under the Brunei Malay Teachers Association (PGGMB) have organised motivational seminars to help students prepare for the upcoming assessments.

A total of 22 students from Tunas Jaya School (STJ) PGGMB Madang, who are scheduled to sit for the Primary School Assessment (PSR), participated in the motivational session. Guest speaker Haji Ali Yusri bin Haji Abdul Ghaffor emphasised that academic success requires high levels of discipline in all aspects of learning and revision.

He also stressed the importance of maintaining a strong and positive mindset, as well as cultivating robust self-confidence.

In her welcoming address, the Headmistress of STJ PGGMB Madang Surimah binti Kawi stated that the day’s activity was a school initiative aimed at boosting students’ morale and motivation in preparation for their examinations.

She also encouraged students to answer their questions carefully and wisely, while also sharing that the school had achieved a 100 per cent pass rate in the PSR for the year 2025, and expressed her hope that parents would play an active role in supervising their children’s studies at home.

Parents of the students as well as the school’s teaching staff were also present during the talk.

The association hoped that the seminar would serve to strengthen the students’ resolve and inner fortitude as they face this year’s PSR examinations.
