In Brunei Darussalam, non-communicable diseases, NCD contribute to approximately 75 per cent of all deaths in the country. Recognising the urgent importance of addressing the issue, the Ministry of Health in partnership with the Jerudong Park Medical Centre and Gleneagles JPMC will organise the first International Non-Communicable Disease Exhibition and Conference in the country. The matter was highlighted during a press conference for the Exhibition and Conference this morning at the Ministry of Health.
Doctor Dayang Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Gharif, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health in a speech explained the exhibition and conference will serve as a platform to encourage the Whole of Nation approach in curbing NCD. The event will be held from the 8th to 12th of October at the International Convention Centre in Berakas.
