Prince Mateen receives UN Resident Coordinator

His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen, Minister of Foreign Affairs, on Tuesday received the United Nations Resident Coordinator for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam Mr Nikolas Myint, at Istana Nurul Izzah, Jerudong.

His Royal Highness congratulated Mr Myint on his designation as United Nations Resident Coordinator and expressed appreciation for the longstanding partnership between Brunei Darussalam and the United Nations.

His Royal Highness also welcomed the opportunity to further deepen cooperation during Mr Myint’s tenure.

During the audience, Mr Myint presented his Letter of Designation to His Royal Highness.

Mr Myint was appointed United Nations Resident Coordinator for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam by United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, effective May 31, 2026.
