A teacher from the Sengkurong Sixth Form Centre, Dayang Hajah Shahrifah Haji Mohd Shahlan has received the Princess Maha Chakri Award, PMCA, 2025. The award ceremony was held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Dayang Hajah Shahrifah introduced the Blended Experiential Learning method, an innovative teaching and learning method that has a significant impact on improving student achievement. The approach has also been developed into a comprehensive training programme and lesson planning framework that is now being implemented comprehensively throughout Brunei Darussalam. The award presentation was officiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Also present was Awang Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Core Education at the Ministry of Education.
