Members of the public are reminded that they will not have the protection under BDCB’s regulatory framework if they deal with companies or individuals which are unlicensed or unregulated.

BDCB also advised the public to remain vigilant against persons or entities who claim to represent, be affiliated with, or act on behalf of BDCB, including through the unauthorised use of BDCB’s name, logo or official identity to solicit funds, personal information or participation in financial schemes.

BDCB said it remains committed to the financial stability of Brunei Darussalam and to safeguarding Brunei Darussalam’s financial system and the interests of financial consumers.

BDCB added it will also continue to monitor any suspicious or unlicensed financial activities in Brunei Darussalam.
