QAF Auto Sdn Bhd, the authorised importer and distributor of BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad in Brunei Darussalam, yesterday successfully hosted The Largest BMW Group Gathering in Brunei 2026, bringing together the country’s BMW Group community for an afternoon of celebration, camaraderie and shared passion for the three iconic brands.
Held at the Jerudong Park Pusing Lagi Parking Lot, the landmark gathering brought together more than 300 BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad vehicles, alongside owners, enthusiasts, families, partners and members of the wider automotive community. The event also marked a significant milestone for QAF Auto and the local BMW Group community, having been officially recognised and recorded in the Brunei Book of Records as The Largest BMW Group Gathering in Brunei 2026.
The achievement reflects the strong and growing community surrounding BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad in Brunei, while celebrating the shared passion and enthusiasm of owners and enthusiasts for the three iconic brands.
“We are incredibly proud to have achieved this milestone together with our customers and the entire BMW Group community. This event was created to bring BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad owners together and celebrate what makes our community so special,” said General Manager of QAF Auto Alisa Khoo.
“Having this gathering officially recognised in the Brunei Book of Records makes the occasion even more meaningful. However, beyond the record itself, what we value most is the opportunity to create an experience where our customers, their families and fellow enthusiasts can come together, connect and celebrate their passion for the BMW Group,” she added.
A key highlight of the gathering was the BMW Group Vehicle Awards, which recognised outstanding vehicles and owners across a range of categories such as Best Custom, Best Classic and Best Detailed for both BMW and MINI categories, and People’s Choice Award and Best Custom for BMW Motorrad category. The awards were evaluated by a panel of judges comprising representatives from Borneo Kustom Show, Mantuka Brunei and The Final Drive, bringing together expertise from Brunei’s automotive and custom car communities.
Their involvement added an independent perspective to the awards while further strengthening the collaboration between QAF Auto and Brunei’s wider automotive community. Adding to the excitement of the afternoon was the BMW Group Tyre Changing Challenge, which saw teams put their teamwork, speed and technical skills to the test in a friendly competition.
The challenge brought an element of friendly rivalry to the gathering while highlighting the importance of teamwork and technical knowledge within the automotive community.
Alongside the tyre changing challenge, guests also enjoyed lucky draws, partner activations, games, food and refreshments and some of the latest BMW M vehicles showcases, creating an engaging experience for owners and their families throughout the afternoon.
