A group of retired senior officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) has contributed BND10,000 towards the construction of a car park at An-Na’im Mosque in RPN Kampung Panchor Mengkubau.
The donation, raised through the charitable efforts of the Gloria Jeans Group, is aimed at supporting the mosque’s car park project and enhancing convenience and comfort for congregants.
The contribution was handed over by Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) Haji Nasir bin Haji Momin to Mosque Affairs Officer Muhammad Saifullah bin Haji Rosli following the Friday prayers.
Also present were Acting Director of Mosque Affairs Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri and members of the An-Na’im Mosque management.
The Gloria Jeans Group comprises 10 former senior RBAF officers who continue to strengthen their bonds of friendship through regular gatherings and family trips abroad. Their fundraising initiative forms part of a commitment towards contributing to community facilities, particularly those benefiting mosque congregants.
The An-Na’im Mosque car park project covers an area of approximately 10,000 square metres and is expected to accommodate more than 200 vehicles upon completion.
The charity fund for the project was launched in May 2026 and will remain open until May 2027, with total contributions reaching approximately BND39,000 to date.
The An-Na’im Mosque Takmir Committee expressed its appreciation and gratitude to the Gloria Jeans Group and other donors for their contributions towards the initiative.
The committee noted that the donations reflect concern for the needs of congregants and represent an ongoing form of charity that will continue serving the community, whilst expressing hope that the charitable efforts of all contributors will be accepted and rewarded by Allah the Almighty.
