Kampong Panchor Mengkubau National Housing Scheme Consultative Council, One Village One Product, 1K1P program once highlighted Frozen Pandan Chicken and Kelupis Pandan. Now the village showcases another 1K1P product namely Rempeyek or deep-fried savoury cracker.
The traditionally produced Rempeyek is another product that received attention at RPN Kampung Panchor Mengkubau. According to the product's entrepreneur, Dayang Norainah binti Malik, the recipe is a family recipe, inherited through generations. The sale of the product has become a source of income for Dayang Norainah. The sale is hoped to last and Dayang Norainah expects to incorporate the business into making door-gifts for any occasion.
Easy to produce with low cost and having potential are among the reasons that the Rempeyek product was selected as a 1K1P product for RPN Kampung Panchor Mengkubau. According to Awang Haji Hairul Azri bin Haji Salamat, Acting Village Head, the product can also become a source of income for village residents. He added that the Brunei Muara District Office and other departments have always supported and advised residents to develop the product by taking part in any sales expo.
The Tiga-P strategy highlighted in making Rempeyek as a 1K1P product of RPN Kampung Panchor Mengkubau are Manufacturing, Marketing and Production. The strategy is among those aimed at providing job opportunities to village residents as well as acting as a source of income for single mothers as well as underprivileged families in the village.
