The Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam (MPABD) yesterday commemorated its 9th anniversary with a celebration at Kampong Kapok Mosque, Muara.
Acting Chief Executive of MPABD Hazman bin Haji Junit, the guest of honour, also officiated the presentation of an ‘In-Kind’ contribution to Kampong Kapok Mosque. The programme commenced with a mass Zohor prayer, followed by the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil, and Doa Kesyukuran led by Kampong Kapok Mosque Imam Haji Mohd Afdzillah bin Haji Yussof as part of the anniversary commemoration.
As part of the celebration, MPABD presented an ‘In-Kind’ contribution to the mosque to support its daily operations and activities.
The donation was received by the mosque imam. The contribution reflects MPABD’s continued commitment to supporting the local community and strengthening its engagement with community institutions.
The anniversary celebration also provided an opportunity for MPABD employees to come together in gratitude and reflection as they mark nine years of service to Brunei Darussalam.
The 9th anniversary marks an important milestone for MPABD in advancing the country’s maritime and port sector.
Since its establishment in 2017, MPABD has undertaken various initiatives and programmes that not only support the country’s economic growth, but also contribute towards Brunei Vision 2035, with an emphasis on safety, sustainability, and social responsibility.
Through MPABD’s strategic roadmap, ‘Navigating 2030’, which guides the transformation of the country’s maritime sector towards a more dynamic future, MPABD remains committed to digitalising its services, enhancing port operational efficiency, and developing sustainable infrastructure.
These efforts form part of MPABD’s commitment to building a resilient maritime ecosystem that ensures the waters of Brunei Darussalam remain safe, competitive, and prepared to meet future challenges.
The ceremony also formed part of MPABD’s corporate social responsibility initiative, aimed at further strengthening ukhuwah and silaturahim with the local community, while seeking blessings and the pleasure of Allah the Almighty.
