It was a cherished moment for many members of the public from all walks of life to be able to personally greet His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, during the Tutong District Get-Together Ceremony.
Among the attendees was Md Haikal bin Hassim, a person with disabilities. The Year 9 student at Muda Hashim Secondary School expressed his delight at once again being given the opportunity to attend the event and greet His Majesty.
He said the opportunity to meet and witness His Majesty in person was a truly meaningful experience and one that would remain a cherished memory.
Meanwhile, Md Haikal’s mother, Norain Abdullah of RPN Kampong Bukit Beruang expressed, “Alhamdulillah, we are truly delighted to be part of this celebration and to have the opportunity to pay our respects to our loving monarch. We would like extend our heartfelt wishes to His Majesty on this joyous occasion and continued good health.”
Among the exhibitors at the ceremony was Pakatan Sang Jati Dusun in Tutong District. Haji Mohammad Syafien Yandol, a member of Pakatan Sang Jati Dusun in an interview expressed, “I am truly delighted to have the opportunity to meet His Majesty in person.” On behalf of the Sang Jati Dusun community, he expressed, “I am deeply grateful for His Majesty’s care and concern for all his people, regardless of race or ethnicity.
“His Majesty’s wise leadership and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people are sincerely appreciated.”
Approximately 40 male and female members of Retired Royal Brunei Police Members (POLSARA) also attended the event.
According to POLSARA, its continued participation reflects its enduring loyalty and support for His Majesty, as well as appreciation for His Majesty’s leadership and commitment to the welfare of the people and nation. – James Kon
