The Ministry of Education through the Department of Scholarship Management presented His Majesty's Government Overseas Scholarship and His Majesty's Government Scholarship under the Special Scholarship Scheme to International Schools for the 2025/2026 Academic Session. The Award ceremony was held at the Banquet Hall, Legislative Council Building, 3rd September afternoon.
51 students were awarded His Majesty's Government Overseas Scholarship for Bachelor's Degree, including four students under His Majesty's Government Special Scholarship Scheme and bonded as Educators at the Institute of Brunei Technical Education for the 2025/2026 session.
The awards were presented by Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education. 20 students will pursue their studies at secondary level and 20 students will further their pre-university studies with His Majesty's Government Scholarship under the Special Scholarship Scheme to International Schools.
Earlier, an Agreement Signing Ceremony for 51 recipients was held. Present was Doctor Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary for Higher Education at the Ministry of Education.
