The Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) is organising the PPNBD Strategic Plan 2027-2032 Workshop to chart the organisation’s direction and development priorities for the next six years at the PPNBD Headquarters Conference Room until tomorrow.
The workshop aims to formulate a comprehensive and forward-looking strategic framework to strengthen the organisation and ensure the continued development of the Scout Movement in the country.
PPNBD Chief Commissioner Haji Junaidi bin Haji Hussin, leading the workshop as workshop director, said the workshop is more than a discussion session, serving as a platform to review PPNBD’s achievements and weaknesses, align its shared vision, mission and values, and formulate creative, realistic and impactful strategies for organisational development.
Haji Junaidi stressed that the success of the strategic plan would not depend on any individual alone, but would require expertise, transparent perspectives and out-of-the-box thinking from every function involved. He also called on participants to take an active role, contribute ideas confidently and remain open to different views for the betterment of PPNBD.
Themed ‘Bersama Merancang, Melangkah Lebih Jauh’, the workshop reflects PPNBD’s aspiration to collectively determine its direction in responding to emerging changes and challenges while capitalising on available opportunities.
Throughout the workshop, participants will assess PPNBD’s achievements, performance and current position, including identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges affecting organisational development. Discussions will also focus on reviewing and strengthening PPNBD’s vision, mission and core values, as well as identifying strategic issues requiring priority attention to ensure more sustainable, effective and resilient organisational development.
Among the key outcomes targeted is the formulation of PPNBD’s strategic pillars for 2027-2032, together with clear and realistic strategic objectives, strategies and key initiatives.
The workshop will also focus on developing key performance indicators and measurable targets to facilitate effective monitoring and evaluation of the strategic plan’s implementation. Participants will develop systematic action plans and a roadmap to ensure strategies are implemented according to identified priorities and timelines.
Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education Dr Eddy Fadzlin bin Haji Amdan was the guest of honour.
Director of the Co-Curricular Education Department Julaihi bin Mohamad and President of PPNBD ACP (Rtd) Haji Murad bin Haji Abd Hadi were also present.
