The Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit (SSBRPAD) Mosque, Kampong Manggis Madang, held its closing ceremony for the 12-night Dikir Maulud programme in conjunction with the 1448 Hijrah Maulidur Rasul celebration on Monday evening.
It marked the culmination of 12 consecutive nights of Dikir Maulud held at the mosque as an expression of love and respect for Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Minister of Transport and Infocommunications and Adviser to the SSBRPAD Mosque Takmir Committee Dato Seri Setia Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos, was the guest of honour.

The evening featured Dikir performances by three groups namely the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications Pendikir Group, Al-Mukmin Pendikir Group and the SSBRPAD Mosque Takmir Committee Pendikir Group. The ceremony began with the Dikir prayer led by Bilal Razman bin Haji Ramlee.
A special prayer for His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, members of the Royal Family, as well as the nation and its people, was led by Imam Muhammad Khaizuran Amali bin Haji Kamsani.
The organisation of the 12-night Dikir Maulud programme reflected the SSBRPAD Mosque Takmir Committee’s commitment to enlivening the mosque and cultivating religious practices within the community.
