Singapore Maritime Week & Ministerial Roundtable

Brunei Darussalam reaffirmed the support for a rules-based international maritime system that is uniformly applied to ensure the safe passage of vessels and the protection of seafarers. The Minister of Transport and Infocommuncations underscored the importance of maintaining sustainable and resilient maritime links that safeguard global supply chains and energy security. Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha shared the matter at the Ministerial Roundtable held in conjunction with the Singapore Maritime Week and Expo 2026.

 

The Singapore Maritime Week and EXPO 2026 saw the participation of Brunei Darussalam through the Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam, MPABD, with Muara Port Company and Muara Maritime Services, showcasing the latest maritime, port, and digital initiatives.

The expo engages industry stakeholders to explore collaboration opportunities and exchange perspectives on the future of the maritime sector.

 

The Ministerial Roundtable was chaired by His Excellency Jeffrey Siow, Acting Minister of Transport and Senior Minister of State for Finance of Singapore. The expo, held until the 24th of April, created the collaborative participation of maritime industry players which reaffirms the collective commitment to strengthening cooperation and advancing a resilient, future-ready maritime sector.
