Smiles for patients

McDonald’s Brunei conducted a community outreach visit to the Paediatric Department at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital yesterday as part of its Community Month 2026 initiative.

During the visit, 97 young patients from the Acute Paediatric Unit, Ward 26, Ward 27, the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and High Dependency Unit (HDU) received Happy Meals from representatives of McDonald’s Brunei.

The initiative was organised as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to support local communities and bring cheer to children undergoing medical treatment.

Leading the visit was the Deputy General Manager of McDonald’s Brunei Haji Mohammad Munir Syafiq bin Dato Paduka Awang Haji Metassan, who explained that the visit reflects the company’s commitment to giving back to the community through meaningful acts of kindness.

“Community Month is about reaching out to those around us and making a positive difference through simple acts of kindness,” he said.

He added that McDonald’s Brunei is grateful for the opportunity to spend time with the children at RIPAS Hospital and hopes the visit brings smiles to them and their families.

A total of 11 McDonald’s Brunei employees participated in the outreach programme, who was accompanied by the Acting Chief Executive Officer Level 1 Haji Muhammad Faisal bin Haji Ahmad, along with representatives from RIPAS Hospital management and staff.

All activities were carried out in accordance with hospital regulations and safety protocols to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients, families and healthcare personnel. – Daniel Lim
