Seeking knowledge is important in Islam as it is one of a Muslim's main responsibility. With knowledge, a Muslim can truly understand the teachings of Islam, improve their character, and live a life based on syariat. Apart from that, knowledge can help increase a person's faith and strengthen ties with Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala. This was among the content of a tazkirah or lecture title 'Adab Menuntut Ilmu Dalam Islam' delivered at the Darussalam Surau, Arab Republic of Egypt for the Special Munajat.
It was held in conjunction with the 13th Haflut Takharruj of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute. It was glorified with the presence of teachings staff and 'Aliyah Qira'at Diploma graduates. Also joining were staff from the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam Office and Brunei Darussalam students in the Arab Republic of Egypt, congregants from several mosques, suraus and religious halls in the country, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs' officers and staff.
