Prayer is a primary obligation for every Muslim and a fundamental pillar of Islam. In situations of travel or facing certain difficulties, Islam still emphasizes the importance of praying through Jamak and Qasar. The matter was shared during the Strengthening Family Institutions Programme through Guidance from Imams and Makmums in the Family. The second series of the programme took place at Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque in Kampung Serusop.
90 people comprising officers and staff from the Mosque Affairs Department, the Fire and Rescue Department and the Ministry of Development attended the programme. Conducted periodically, it provides exposure on relaxation in prayer to maintain the obligation to pray when traveling or in difficulty. The programme was conducted by the Mosque Affairs Department through the Imarah Division in collaboration with the Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque Takmir Committee.
