The establishment of the Lifelong Learning Centre or L3C has enabled the Ministry of Education to empower individuals to generate their own income. How does this initiative or programme help to enhance the personal skills and creativity of the participants?
Through a conscious approach of enrolling participants from various backgrounds, the L3C initiative has been able to improve their quality of life by enhancing their own resourcefulness and reducing their dependence on outside assistance.
The initiative implemented by the L3C includes offering two types of programmes, namely the Community Development Programme and the Workforce Development Programme, which cover a broad range of skills.
The Lifelong Learning mind-set has to be instilled in every individual, regardless of age and employment status, so that we can all become educated, highly skilled and successful citizens who can contribute towards the realisation of Wawasan Brunei 2035.
