Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Secondary School, Tutong held a Year 11 Izin dan Restu Ilmu ceremony at the school hall on Thursday.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by Doa Selamat. Meanwhile, school principal Hajah Adimah binti Haji Mohd Said delivered a welcoming address.
The programme continued with a motivational talk by invited speaker Counsellor at Royal Brunei Airlines Diny bin Haji Karim. The session provided encouragement and motivation to the Year 11 students as they prepare for their upcoming examinations.
The ceremony proceeded with the presentation of ‘Warkah Yang Tersayang’, followed by speeches from student representative Ukail Uzma bin Iskandar Zulkarnain, parent/guardian representative Muhammad Sofian bin Muhd Jais, father of Muhammad Afif Syazani bin Muhammad Sofian of Year 11SC2, and teacher representative Huzairini binti Haji Tengah.
The ceremony concluded with a handshake session between the students, teachers and parents/guardians, symbolising the students’ seeking of blessings, forgiveness, prayers and support as they prepare to face their examinations.
The ceremony served to strengthen the bond between the students, teachers and parents/guardians, while reminding the students of the importance of perseverance, discipline, prayer and continuous effort in achieving their educational goals.
