Sungai Lampai Jetty temporarily closed

The Sungai Lampai Jetty has been temporarily closed to the public from August 11, 2026, following a technical inspection by the Bandar Seri Begawan Municipal Department, which found that the jetty’s structure had sustained damage and was deemed unsafe for use. The announcement of the temporary closure was made by the Bandar Seri Begawan Municipal Department in a statement yesterday.

According to the department, the closure is being implemented as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety until repair and restoration works have been completed. As an alternative for travel and access during the closure period, the public was advised to use Bubungan Dua Belas Jetty. The Bandar Seri Begawan Municipal Department apologised for any inconvenience caused and expressed appreciation for the public’s attention and cooperation in the matter for the safety of all. – James Kon
