Before the meeting was adjourned, the Speaker of the Legislative Council in his speech touched on the role of the Legislative Council in deliberating on substantive matters for the people and country's interests. Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib, explained that it should be directed towards ensuring all parties are moving together in supporting the national development agenda, including realising Wawasan Brunei 2035.
Yang Berhormat urged members of the Legislative Council to remain united as the platform for the people's voices, working together with high commitment to maintain solidarity and unity as citizens of Brunei Darussalam in order to maintain the peace and stability of our beloved country.
