Table tennis tournament promotes youth participation » Borneo Bulletin Online
The Belait District Table Tennis Association is set to host the Brunei Table Tennis Tournament 2026.
The tournament aims to promote table tennis among the local community, encourage youth participation in sports, and provide a platform for players of different skill levels to showcase their abilities, develop their confidence, and experience competitive table tennis.
The tournament will feature two competition dates, catering to junior players and novice participants.
This includes the junior categories on November 8, which will feature boys and girls under-15 and under-11 categories for both singles and doubles, and is designed to encourage young athletes to develop their technical skills, sportsmanship, and competitive experience in a structured sporting environment.
The following weekend will feature the novice singles open category, which welcomes players new to the competitive table tennis, create opportunities for emerging players to test their abilities, improve their game, and become part of the growing table tennis community in the Belait District. – Daniel Lim
