The Prime Minister’s Office held a Tahlil ceremony yesterday at the Royal Mausoleum, Jalan Tutong in conjunction with the 33rd Civil Service Day Celebration.
The ceremony was held in honour of Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam as well as His Majesty’s late son, Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim.
The Tahlil recitation was led by Zone 5 Monitoring Officer, Brunei-Muara District Mosques Zulhazmi bin Salleh. Coordinating Minister for National Security, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof as the Co-Adviser of the High-Level Committee for the 33rd Civil Service Day Celebration 2026 was present.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office (Civil Service Governance) Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Awang Haji Mohamad and Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office (Security and Law) Dato Seri Setia Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu as Co-Chairs of the High-Level Committee for the 33rd Civil Service Day Celebration 2026 were also in attendance.
The ceremony was also attended by permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, heads of departments, senior officers, and civil servants from various government agencies.
