His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam led the procession on the 1.9 kilometre route around Bandar Seri Begawan. The procession involved various teams comprising Ministries, Higher Education Institutions, Colleges and Secondary Schools, Village Consultative Councils, Mosque Takmir as well as Public Associations and the Private Sector. The procession also reflected the strong unity among the community in the country.
The Maulidur Rasul celebration in Brunei Darussalam is part of the major Islamic events celebrated every year throughout the country.
In maintaining family harmony, Muslims are required to exemplify the family life of the Prophet Muhammad. The recitation of selawat further glorified the Grand Assembly and Procession.
His Majesty joining the citizens for the event became an encouragement to the citizens in fostering love for the Prophet Muhammad
Such events will continue to be an inspiration to exemplify the noble character of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam in daily life.
