Prior to approving the Motion of Wawasan Brunei 2035, the Legislative Council heard the summary of the said motion by the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence. Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof underlined that the Whole of Government approach and the Whole of Nation approach need to be strengthened as well as improved, so that all sectors of the country move in tandem in building a progressive, prosperous and resilient nation.
Wawasan Brunei 2035 is a legacy entrusted to the future generation that must be preserved and realised. Today's prosperity must be safeguarded so it can be enjoyed by the future generation. Hence, Yang Berhormat stressed the need to be united in addressing challenges immediately, seize opportunities wisely, and hold steadfast to religious, cultural, and the nation's self-identity values. Every walks of life need to work together to strengthen each other, and contribute towards a strong and integrated development.
