Tourist gains insight through Maulud Nabi procession

An English tourist, Jack, had the opportunity to join the procession in the capital during the National-Level Maulud Nabi Muhammad celebration for 1448 Hijrah on Tuesday.

Jack, a non-Muslim, who is currently learning about Islam, wished to gain a better understanding of and experience the local culture. In a brief conversation with a procession participant, he shared that taking part in the procession was a new and meaningful experience.

Despite finding the weather slightly hot and working up a sweat, Jack said he found the procession interesting and enjoyable.

Meanwhile, the participant explained to him that the procession was part of the religious and cultural practices of the local community, particularly in commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
