Brunei Darussalam is currently in the Northeast Monsoon season, which typically persists until March 2026. Tropical Storm 'Koto' was observed over the Philippines Sea around 950 kilometres away from Brunei Darussalam and forecast to move westwards and away from the country.
Tropical Storm 'Koto' is likely to influence the weather across the country's land and sea areas, bringing more frequent showers or thundershowers that may at times be accompanied by gusty winds. This active weather condition is forecast to persist until Sunday. Meanwhile, over Brunei waters, sea condition is at moderate to rough, with wave height of 1 to 3.5 metres. The public, road users, and fishermen are advised to take necessary precautions during the active weather conditions.
