His Royal Highness Prince Doctor Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, as Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD, officiated the UBD Convocation Festival 2025, 05th August morning. The event took place at the Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Institute of Health Sciences, UBD. Upon arrival, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was greeted by Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education; and Doctor Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Vice Chancellor of UBD. The recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.
His Royal Highness then launched the UBD Convocation Festival 2025.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince then proceeded to plant a Gymnostoma nobile or ' CASUARINACEAE', also known as the Bornean Rhu.
The launching of UBD Healthy University Roadmap becomes a strategic initiative that embeds health, safety, and well-being into all aspects of life.
Themed 'Ideas That Move', the UBD Convocation Festival Exhibition highlights the welfare, resilience and community action. Divided into three zones, the exhibition encompasses community, culture and identity innovations, as well as health and well-being produced by UBD undergraduates.
The Convocation Festival is held in conjunction with UBD's 37th Convocation Ceremony which is scheduled to take place on the 13th of this month.
