Vendors and staff of Sumbangsih Mulia, together with the Muslim management and staff of GHK Group of Companies, gathered in a spirit of unity and gratitude for a Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony held in conjunction with the 80th Birthday Celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
The ceremony held at Sejahtera Hall, Sumbangsih Bahagia in Beribi, reflected the participants’ love, loyalty and appreciation for His Majesty while offering prayers for His Majesty’s continued good health, long life and enduring reign.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Doa Selamat led by graduate of the International Islamic University Malaysia with a major in Usul Al-Din and Comparative Religion, Muhd Hisyamuddin bin Haji Ali Rahman.
Special prayers were offered seeking Allah the Almighty’s blessings for His Majesty’s continued good health, happiness and longevity and that His Majesty will continue to lead Brunei Darussalam with wisdom, peace and prosperity, as well as for the well-being of members of the Royal Family.
The gathering also provided an opportunity for employees, vendors and management to strengthen bonds of friendship and foster a sense of togetherness while reflecting on the significance of the national celebration. Chairman of Sumbangsih Mulia Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Dato Paduka Goh King Chin was the guest of honour.
Organisers said the ceremony symbolised the loyalty and affection of the people to His Majesty. – Lyna Mohamad
