Although virgin coconut oil has been produced for more than 14 years, it continues to be in high demand and is expected to penetrate the overseas market. Therefore, the Mukim Tanjong Maya Consultative Council has come up with several initiatives in ensuring that the One Village One Product, 1K1P project continues to be welcomed to generate income for the villagers.
Virgin coconut oil became the first product produced by MKM Tanjong Maya since 2011. Following the encouraging response, MKM Tanjong Maya diversified into the production of other health and beauty products such as virgin coconut oil massage oil or VCO, baby balm, cosmetic cream and soap. According to the Wira Bina marketing representative, to further facilitate the marketing of its products, MPK Tanjong Maya has established collaborations with local companies and is actively conducting promotions including through expos and exhibitions both domestically and internationally.
With widespread promotion and collaboration, MPK Tanjung Maya's 1K1P products are expected to receive high demand, including in overseas markets, which will drive the economic activities of the villagers, thus creating a productive and competitive generation.
