Al-Muflihun, in collaboration with members of Persatuan Sinar Islam (PSI), strengthened the spirit of cooperation and communal responsibility through the PSI Cleanliness Campaign recently at the PSI building in Kuala Belait.
The campaign was organised for the first time with the participation of students from the Faculty of Arabic Language at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali. Focusing on maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe environment while fostering a shared sense of responsibility among the Muslim convert community, participants cleaned the building’s indoor common areas before extending efforts to the exterior, including the car park, storeroom, and open spaces.
Volunteers also mowed grass, collected rubbish, and trimmed overgrown branches obstructing access along the roadside near a junction.
The participation of the student volunteers reflected the spirit of mutual assistance and collective responsibility, while providing an opportunity for the students to interact with members of the Muslim convert community.
The campaign also enabled Al-Muflihun Learning to establish a closer relationship with PSI members, better understand the needs of the Muslim convert community, and explore opportunities for collaboration on future programmes, while serving as a platform to raise awareness that maintaining a clean and sustainable environment is a shared responsibility requiring the active involvement of the wider community. – Daniel Lim
