Residents of Kampung Madang and Kampung Sungai Hanching, Mukim Berakas 'B', voted this morning to elect their Village Heads. The ceremony took place at the Dewan Kemasyarakatan Satu, RPN Lambak Kanan.
Present were Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Daud bin Jihan, Member of the Legislative Council and Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubaarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim, Acting Brunei Muara District Officer. The sole candidate eligible to fill the position of Village Head of Kampung Madang is Pengiran Mohd Saiful Zamri bin Pengiran Haji Sabtu. Meanwhile, the sole candidate for Village Head of Kampung Sungai Hanching is Awang Muhammad Afiq bin Naquiyuddien. The results of the voting will be brought to the Board of Appointment, Discipline and Procedures for Penghulu Mukim and Village Head, Ministry of Home Affairs for further process.
