The Public Works Department (JKR) under the Ministry of Development on Tuesday announced that urgent transmission pipe repair works are being carried out for Bukit Barun Stages 4 and 5 and Kampong Mulaut, Limau Manis, starting from September 15 until completion.
Due to the repair works, major areas in Brunei-Muara District may experience water disruption or low water pressure.
The affected areas include Mukim Berakas ‘A’, covering parts of Kampong Lambak ‘A’ and ‘B’, and Mukim Berakas ‘B’, namely PN Lambak Kanan, Kampong Madang and Kampong Manggis 2; Mukim Gadong ‘A’, namely PN Rimba, Kampong Rimba 1 and 2, STKRJ Rimba, STKRJ Kampong Tungku and Kampong Katok ‘A’; and Mukim Gadong ‘B’, covering Kampong Kiarong, Kampong Kiulap and Kampong Beribi.
Other affected areas include Mukim Kota Batu, covering Kampong Subok, Kampong Belimbing, Kampong Pintu Malim, Kampong Sungai Lampai, Kampong Kota Batu, Kampong Pelambayan, Kampong Dato Gandi, Kampong Sungai Matan, Kampong Serdang and Kampong Sungai Belukut.
Mukim Pangkalan Batu includes Kampong Bebatik, Kampong Batong, Kampong Panchor Murai, Kampong Masin, Kampong Pangkalan Batu, Kampong Junjongan, Kampong Wasan, Kampong Limau Manis, Kampong Bebuloh and Kampong Kuala Lurah. Mukim Lumapas includes Kampong Lumapas ‘A’ and ‘B’, Kampong Lupak Luas, Kampong Tarap Bau, Kampong Putat and Kampong Kasat, while Mukim Kilanas includes Kampong Telanai, Kampong Madewa, Kampong Bunut, Kampong Tasek Meradun, Kampong Kilanas, Kampong Tanjong Bunut, Kampong Bengkurong, Kampong Sinarubai and Kampong Burong Lepas.
Other affected areas are Mukim Kianggeh, namely Bandar Seri Begawan (Pusat Bandar), Kampong Kianggeh, Kampong Berangan, Kampong Tasek Lama, Kampong Pusar Ulak, Kampong Tungkadeh, Kampong Parit (Batu Satu) and Kampong Tumasek; the Dedap Mata-Mata water tank, covering Kampong Jangsak, Kampong Beribi, Kampong Mata-Mata, Kampong Telanai, part of the Police Headquarters in Gadong, Jalan Gadong and Jalan Rakyat Jati Rimba; and the Mata-Mata water tank, comprising the whole of Perpindahan Negara Kampong Mata-Mata and surrounding areas.
The Melabau catchment includes Serusop Commercial Centre, Times Square Commercial Centre, Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, Kampong Jaya Setia, Kampong Jaya Bakti, Kampong Burong Pingai Berakas, Jalan Perdana Menteri, Jalan Kumbang Pasang, Jalan Gadong and Kampong Pangkalan Gadong.
The Pulaie catchment includes Kampong Pulaie, Kampong Anggerek Desa, Kampong Pancha Delima, Jalan Kebangsaan Lama, Jalan Kebangsaan, Kampong Pengiran Siraja Muda Delima Satu and Kampong Orang Kaya Besar Imas.
The Diplomatic catchment includes the Diplomatic Enclave, Kampong Sungai Akar, Pusat Dakwah Islamiah, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Primary School, Sekolah Al-Falaah and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The Belimbing catchment includes Radio Television Brunei and Jalan Sungai Akar, while the Sungai Hanching catchment covers Jalan Muara, Kampong Sungai Tilong, Kampong Manggis Dua, Kampong Sungai Hanching, Jalan Utama Salambigar, Kampong Sungai Orok and Kampong Salambigar.
The Katimahar water tank catchment comprises Kampong Katimahar, Kampong Lugu, Kampong Kulapis, Kampong Tanjong Nangka and surrounding areas. The Jerudong 1 water tank covers Kampong Jerudong, JPMC, Janakuasa Letrik Jerudong and Jerudong Park, while the Jerudong 2 water tank covers Kampong Sengkurong A and B, Kampong Selayun, Kampong Tanjung Bunut Kanan, Kampong Sengkurong, Jerudong Prison and parts of Jalan Jerudong.
The public can collect water at designated blue water tanks located at Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque, Kampong Bebatik Kilanas and Ar-Rahman Mosque in Mukim Kilanas, as well as at Kampong Limau Manis Mosque, Jefri Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Batong and Kampong Panchor Murai Mosque in Mukim Pangkalan Batu.
Blue water tanks are also located at Mukim Berakas A, at Kampong Lambak Mosque, Jalan Pasir Berakas, as well as several areas in Mukim Berakas ‘B’, including the Lambak Kanan National Housing Scheme.
