The Public Works Department under the Ministry of Development is carrying out investigation works to identify the cause of water supply disruptions and low water pressure affecting areas supplied by the Jerudong 1 Tank and Jerudong 2 Tank catchment areas.
As a temporary measure to help increase water levels in both tanks and stabilise the water supply to the affected locations, water rationing exercises will be conducted daily from 10pm to 2am.
The affected locations under Jerudong 1 include Kampong Peninjau, Kampong Jerudong, Kampong Tagap, Jerudong Park, Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC), Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC), and surrounding areas.
For Jerudong 2, the affected areas comprise Kampong Jerudong, Kampong Sengkurong ‘A’ and ‘B’, Kampong Tagap, Kampong Selayun, parts of Kampong Tanjong Nangka, and their surrounding vicinities.
Residents in the affected areas may obtain water supplies from designated blue water tanks provided by the authorities.
The department expressed regret over the unexpected incident and the inconvenience caused to affected residents. The public is urged to practise water conservation and to contact the Darussalam Hotline 123 to request water tanker services.
The public can also collect water from the blue tanks positioned at designated locations – Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque, Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque Sengkurong, and the Jerudong Park Food Court.
