World Breastfeeding Week is an annual activity celebrated every August. Pengiran Isteri Hajah Mariam Hospital in Temburong held the World Breastfeeding Week 2025 celebration at the lobby of the hospital, 21st August morning. The celebration aimed to raise public awareness on issues related to breastfeeding.
Various activities were organised throughout the celebration, including a Breastfeeding exhibition, quizzes and a drawing contest for children aged under 12. The exhibition is open to the public until 27th August from 9 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon. Themed 'Prioritise Breastfeeding: Create Sustainable Support Systems', it emphasises the importance of bridging the gap in care for women, mothers and children.
