Young artists celebrate creativity

Young artists gathered to celebrate creativity, imagination and artistic expression at the Global Art National Art Competition Brunei 2026, held under the theme ‘My Best Gift’ at J Hotel.

Organised as part of the Global Art family’s commitment to nurturing creativity among young learners, the competition brought together participants, parents, teachers and Global Art franchisees for a meaningful celebration of art and young talent.

The theme invited young artists to explore the meaning of a gift beyond something that is received from others. Through their artworks, the participants expressed their imagination, creativity, courage and passion, highlighting the unique perspectives and stories of each young artist.

Every artwork presented during the competition reflected more than artistic skills. The creations represented the participants’ dreams, emotions and the things they value most, demonstrating how art can provide children with a meaningful platform to express themselves.

Global Art also emphasised that participation itself is an achievement. Regardless of whether a participant receives a prize, the courage to create, the effort invested and the willingness to express personal ideas are valuable accomplishments that should be celebrated.

The competition also recognised the important role played by parents and teachers in supporting the development of young talents. Parents continue to provide encouragement and confidence for children to explore their creativity, while teachers play an important role not only in developing artistic skills but also in building students’ confidence, creativity and important life values.

CELEBRATING GLOBAL ART DAY

The competition also took place during the Global Art Day Month, following the celebration of Global Art Day on September 10, 2026.

Global Art Day celebrates everyone who has been part of the Global Art journey, including students, parents, teachers and partners. The occasion reflects the organisation’s belief that Global Art extends beyond learning to draw and paint, focusing also on creating meaningful memories, building confidence and growing together as one family.

GLOBAL ART ALUMNI PROGRAM OPENS A NEW CHAPTER

As the Global Art community continues to grow, the organisation is also embarking on a new chapter through the introduction of the Global Art Alumni Program.

Over the years, many students have begun their creative journeys with Global Art and have since grown into individuals with their own achievements, experiences and aspirations. The new alumni initiative aims to maintain the connection between former students and the wider Global Art community beyond their classroom years.

The initiative reflects a key principle of the Global Art family: once a Global Art student, always part of the Global Art family.

BRUNEI YOUNG ARTISTS TO TAKE THEIR CREATIVITY TO THE INTERNATIONAL STAGE

The National Art Competition also serves as an important platform for young artists to take their creativity to a wider stage.

The top winners of the Brunei competition will have the honour of representing Brunei at the International Art Competition 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Their participation will provide an opportunity for these young artists to share their creativity and passion alongside participants from the international Global Art community. The achievement represents not only a proud moment for the winners, but also for their parents, teachers and everyone who has supported them throughout their creative journey.

The Global Art National Art Competition Brunei 2026 concluded with a prize-giving ceremony celebrating the achievements of the young artists and recognising their efforts and creativity.

Global Art extends its congratulations to all participants and appreciation to the parents, teachers, franchisees and partners who contributed to making the competition a meaningful celebration of creativity and young talent.

Through art, every child has a story to tell – and every creative journey is a gift worth celebrating.
