An awareness programme focusing on the prevention of sexual harassment and safety issues for children and teenagers was presented by Syababul Iman of the Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque in collaboration with the Takmir Committee members. The 'Youth Protection Series 9.0' programme was held at the said mosque.
The programme aimed to provide a deeper understanding on the issue of sexual harassment and incest, apart from empowering youth, parents and the community to be more sensitive in creating a safe environment at home and in the community. The briefing session was presented by the Investigating Officer of the Women and Child Abuse Investigation Unit, Royal Brunei Police Force; Assistant Professor, Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University; Psychiatrist from the Ministry of Health and Assistant Community Development Officer (Women's Unit), Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
